This dynamic one day course is designed especially for those who need a basic grounding in child protection but do not need the in-depth training necessary for designated personnel.
In a very ‘hands-on’ style, we look at what abuse is, how it might be recognised in youngsters, and move on to discuss how and when to react.
The afternoon will centre on practical ways to create a protective environment around children to minimise the risk of exploitation by those who would offend. We also look at ways to keep staff safe from false allegations against themselves.
