Our new three hour interactive classroom-based course covers many areas of PSHE education programme of study for Key Stage 2: Core Theme 1: Health and Well-Being.

  • Part 1- Peer Pressure
  • Part 2- Online Friends

We are constantly hearing worrying reports from school staff and other professionals about children still taking too many risks online, cyber-bullying and generally reacting in these negative formats to peer pressure - including sexting indecent images of themselves.

In response, we have developed a whole new course which focuses on tackling these issues. This three hour interactive classroom-based session covers many areas of the PSHE education programme of study for both Key Stage 2 & 3 within Core Theme 1: Health and Well-Being.

With our cutting-edge lesson, which include learning outcomes designed to meet the requirements of 13 PSHE education curriculum areas, you will be providing your pupil's crucial safety, life and well being skills in this ever-challenging, online world.

Our new course meets the following outcomes: H1,2,4,6,7,10,11,13,14,22,23,24,25.


Online Safety for PRIMARY

TARGET AUDIENCE
Children of Primary School Age

30 – 60 minute sessions across a day

All children are introduced to CEOP and how they can support them if online issues arise, the ‘Think-U-Know’ education programme, both CEOP websites and the ‘Click CEOP’ button. Sessions include the following at an age appropriate level: - Introduction of CEOP and their work - Online Safety films relevant for age range - Clarification of personal information - Effects of Cyber-bullying - Developing responses to dealing with online problems


Online Safety for SECONDARY

TARGET AUDIENCE
Young People in Secondary School age

DURATION
45 – 60 minute sessions across a day

All young people are introduced to CEOP and how they can support them if online issues arise, the ‘Think-U-Know’ education programme, both CEOP websites and the ‘Click CEOP’ button. Sessions include the following at an age-appropriate level:

  • Introduction of CEOP and their work
  • Exploration of CEOP’s website for relevant age group
  • Sharing usage of social networking and webcams sites
  • Talk about effects of cyberbullying
  • Talk through latest apps and risk assessment
  • Detailed conversation on social networking and webcamming
  • Talk through effects of sexting
  • Legal ramifications of young people sharing indecent images

This in-depth one hour session for staff focuses on one of the most common Online Safety issues today - Cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is one of key identified areas today within Child Protection of peer-on-peer abuse. This course helps staff understand the current climate of cyberbullying and its ever evolving nature (including online self-harm), examines how to identify and support victims including vulnerable groups and approaches how to educate children and prevent incidents of cyberbullying.

This in-depth one hour session for staff focuses on one of the most common Online Safety issues today - Sexting. Sexting is one of key identified areas today within Child Protection of peer-on-peer abuse. This course examines the important areas of guidance and legislation around the subject, gives an complete overview around the legalities involved and possible consequences and sanctions for young people (including Outcome 21), and tackles how staff should respond and report within effective procedures.
