Sessions to raise awareness and develop digital resiliency and literacy.

Session information:

Our Online Safety sessions offer pupils, parents and professionals up to date information and insight into the online world.

Supporting pupils with their digital literacy and positive decision making, online safety sessions inform and empower with the knowledge and tools of how to keep safe online.

Designed with a whole school approach, sessions are 1 hour in duration and can be delivered in an assembly format or with class sized groups. Click below for more information.

Yesterday’s sessions were so successful. We were so impressed by Heather and the way she delivered the workshops. I have had many positive comments from staff, parents and children so thank you.

Having first realised that the presentations were nearly 50 minutes long, my boys were initially dismayed – but were very quickly fully engaged and remained so until the very end of the presentation. We paused at several times, especially with my elder sons (10 yrs) who wanted to off-load some of the stories and experiences they have already heard from others in their class.

They are currently part of only a handful of children who do not yet own their own phones, or have an Xbox, and so probably spend a lot less time online as many of their friends. The presentation gave us the opportunity to have a very open discussion on gaming / social media and then led us to identify some tools of how to get out of tricky online situations, which I am sure are bound to arise at some point no matter how careful we might think we are being.

I’m really pleased the school has given us the chance to watch these online safety sessions, they were really well put together. Finally, speaking as someone who has spent 20 years working in the City, I thought the presentation skills were excellent! Thank you.
