Our self-paced training is shared for a period of your choice, and can be accessed at any time during the academic year you have the training booked with us.

Do I need this training for my role?

These spotlights have been designed to ensure that your teams meet these requirements as well as empower you with the knowledge you need to respond with confidence while supporting your pupils.

What is the difference between face-to-face, live virtual, and pre-recorded training options?

As far as possible, our Prevent Duty training is as close to being the same as they can be! All the required content is covered to the highest standard, and we aim to keep as much interaction and engagement in all of our sessions as we do in our face-to-face training. Face-to-face is our preferred method of training, but we know this is not always possible so have made our live virtual and self-paced courses available so you don’t have to miss out on being able to access our courses.

I only have a few members of staff that need to complete this training, what is the best option?

ECP can make this course available for individuals as a recorded training resource. You can find the details for this on our courses for individuals page of our website. For these courses, the price is per person and you can book multiple spaces for your staff.

I struggle to get all of my staff available at one time to complete training, what is my best option?

You can join ECP’s Safeguarding Society. By becoming a member with ECP, you can have unlimited access to a self-paced version of The Prevent Duty Training – as well as other vital courses – via our training platform throughout the academic year. Staff will then be able to log onto your membership portal and complete the training at a time that suits them – and you! Find out more here.

Reviews

Very clear explanations about what to look out for in terms of radicalisation. Very helpful to have the current London picture.

A heightened awareness of the types of extremist groups and terminology that seems innocuous until you know otherwise.

An engaging speaker, kept interest by talking widely around the subject, but clearly following key points

It will enable me to have a greater awareness of radicalisation and extremism, which I can use to safeguard tho9se in my care.

The training has helped me to recognise signs that someone may be in need of help that I would not of noticed before.

Be more alert and informed in Prevent, helping children earlier on and explaining and debating issues and current affairs with the right tools.
